Dubai Airports Launches Month-Long Wellness Campaign to Enhance Travel Experience

Dubai Airports has launched a wellness campaign at Dubai International Airport (DXB) aimed at promoting physical and mental health for both travellers and employees.

Aligning with Breast Cancer Awareness Month and World Mental Health Day, the initiative focuses on reducing travel-related stress and anxiety. Travel can often cause stress and the campaign offers activities to promote relaxation and wellbeing. Michelle Lee, Vice President of Brand and Communications at Dubai Airports, stated, “Our goal at DXB is to help make the experience as healthy, stress-free, and positive as possible.”

The campaign features free yoga sessions at Terminal 3 every Friday and Saturday morning, led by certified instructors. Additionally, DXB’s runway is hosting a unique cycling event in partnership with CRANK, a UAE-based fitness studio, as part of the Dubai Fitness Challenge.

Supporting Breast Cancer Awareness and Employee Wellbeing

To mark Pink October, Dubai Airports is offering free mammograms to female employees over 40 and their dependents, while male employees can register their spouses. Breast cancer awareness pins are being distributed to guests and travelers as part of the initiative.

Khulood Al Marzooqi, Head of Employee Engagement & Wellbeing, emphasized the holistic approach, stating, “A robust wellbeing program creates an environment where employees feel valued, supported, and empowered.”

Mental Health and Educational Initiatives

In recognition of World Mental Health Day, DXB partnered with Prime Clinic to offer a Brain Assessment for employees to detect potential cognitive impairments early. The campaign also includes webinars on the impact of early life experiences on workplace behaviour and money management workshops for employees’ children aged 12-17.

Throughout the campaign, awareness messages are displayed on airport screens and digital channels. Lee emphasized the initiative’s goal of creating a welcoming and supportive environment for both guests and staff at DXB.

This innovative wellness campaign underscores Dubai Airports’ commitment to elevating the travel experience and setting new standards in passenger and employee welfare. Travellers passing through DXB are encouraged to engage in the activities and enjoy a more relaxed journey.
