AmaWaterways has appointed Steve Spivak to the newly created role of chief commercial officer, the river cruise line’s first appointment to the position.
Spivak joins the company on September 30, bringing close to three decades of travel industry experience. He was most recently vice president of global sales and customer experience at Tauck, a role he moved into after joining the company in 2012 as vice president of global sales and partner relations.
In the new role Spivak will lead AmaWaterways’ sales, global service and reservations, and revenue management teams under one commercial strategy. He joins the executive team led by Chief Executive Catherine Powell.
