Oman Air officially joins oneworld as 15th member airline

oneworld has welcomed Oman Air as its 15th full member airline, further strengthening the alliance’s footprint across the Middle East and expanding its global network for premium international travellers.

Effective 1 July, Oman Air’s entry brings the alliance enhanced connectivity across the Gulf region and South Asia, with customers now able to access an extended network that includes the carrier’s new non-stop Muscat–Amsterdam service.

Nat Pieper, CEO of oneworld, said, “We are proud to welcome Oman Air to the oneworld family. Oman Air brings valuable strategic reach and award-winning service to the alliance. This partnership opens up exciting new connections for our customers and reinforces oneworld’s position as the premium alliance for international travel.”

oneworld Emerald, Sapphire and Ruby customers can enjoy reciprocal benefits when flying with Oman Air, including mileage earning and redemption, status points, priority check-in and boarding, and lounge access. In turn, Oman Air’s Sindbad frequent flyers gain access to oneworld’s network of nearly 700 airport lounges worldwide, including the recently opened oneworld branded lounges at Amsterdam Schiphol and Seoul Incheon airports.

Oman Air CEO Con Korfiatis commented, “Oman Air is honoured to join the oneworld alliance, whose members represent the very best of international travel. We look forward to welcoming oneworld customers to the Sultanate of Oman to experience our culture, mountain landscapes, beautiful coastline and renowned Omani hospitality.”

The airline offers three cabin classes, including its flagship Business Studio with private suites on select long-haul routes.
