Qatar Airways has once again been recognised as the World’s Best Airline by Skytrax
The prestigious honour was announced at the 2025 World Airline Awards, often referred to as the “Oscars of the aviation industry,” following a comprehensive passenger survey that captured feedback from travellers worldwide.
The Doha-based carrier also swept several major categories, including:
- World’s Best Business Class
- Best Airline in the Middle East
- World’s Best Business Class Lounge (Al Mourjan Lounge – The Garden at Hamad International Airport)
- Continued recognition as a Skytrax Five-Star Airline
The awards underscore Qatar Airways’ ongoing investment in premium cabins, airport lounges, and service innovation elements that continue to resonate strongly with both leisure and corporate travellers.
Commenting on the achievement, Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, said the accolade reflects the unified commitment of the entire airline team. “Being named the World’s Best Airline by Skytrax for the ninth time is a powerful testament to the passion, dedication, and precision that defines every part of our operation. These awards are not just industry recognition they symbolise the trust and loyalty of millions of passengers who choose Qatar Airways every year.”

The World Airline Awards, launched by Skytrax in 1999, are fully independent and based on the world’s largest airline passenger satisfaction survey. This year’s survey ran from September 2022 to May 2023, collecting verified responses across six languages and covering more than 350 airlines globally.
