The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection unveils Luminara set to debut in 2025

The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection has revealed new details about its forthcoming ultra-luxury superyacht, Luminara, which is set to embark on its inaugural voyage from Monte Carlo to Rome on 3 July 2025.

Designed to deliver immersive and elevated experiences at sea, Luminara continues The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection’s mission to redefine luxury travel with curated itineraries, world-class design, and bespoke service. Its launch represents a significant expansion for the brand, offering discerning travellers new routes and deeper cultural encounters.

Elevating the Yachting Experience

With capacity for just 452 guests across 226 elegantly appointed suites, Luminara promises an intimate and refined experience. Drawing from the Latin word for “light,” the vessel has been crafted with soft hues, flowing lines, and a seamless indoor-outdoor connection that mirrors the ocean’s tranquillity. Acclaimed design firms including London-based AD Associates and Finnish studio Aivan have contributed to the yacht’s interiors and streamlined exterior, with rich materials like Arabescato Corchia marble, Jacobean oak, and bespoke furnishings from luxury houses such as Molteni and Minotti.

A Floating Gallery of Light and Art

Luminara will also be home to an impressive art collection, comprising 731 curated pieces, with a majority commissioned exclusively for the yacht. The artworks—ranging from reflections on Maltese maritime history to modern interpretations of light—are designed to inspire both quiet contemplation and lively conversation. The centrepiece will be a dramatic seven-deck suspended light sculpture anchoring the aft staircase.

A Global Culinary Journey

Aboard Luminara, guests will experience five distinct dining venues. Among them are Seta su Luminara, led by Michelin-starred chef Fabio Trabocchi, offering a modern Italian tasting menu, and Beach House, created in collaboration with Michael Mina, serving vibrant Mediterranean and Middle Eastern fare. Additional venues include Azur on Luminara, focused on seasonal regional cuisine; Haesu Bit, a pan-Asian venue inspired by Luminara’s upcoming Asia-Pacific voyages; and Mistral, a celebration of Mediterranean coastal flavours. The yacht will also feature seven premium bars, including the striking Art Bar, inspired by ancient Cycladic sculpture and maritime navigation.

Onboard Wellness and Leisure

Wellbeing is central to the Luminara experience. The expansive Ritz-Carlton Spa® will offer treatments inspired by the yacht’s destinations, including therapies using products from ESPA, 111SKIN, and Pisterzi. Eleven treatment rooms, including couples’ suites, will provide an indulgent retreat at sea.

As the yacht transitions to Asia, the retail mix will evolve to reflect regional influences and discoveries, adding another layer to the voyage’s cultural immersion.
