Tourism NT highlights ‘best kept season’ with new Top End trade training series

Tourism NT is inviting agents to take a fresh look at the Top End with the next edition of its Northern Territory Trade Training Program, focusing on what it calls the region’s “best kept season” the quieter shoulder and low season.

The new webinar series is designed to deepen product and destination knowledge, giving frontliners greater confidence when positioning the Top End beyond peak travel periods. With fewer crowds and more affordable rates, Tourism NT is positioning this time of year as ideal for clients who prefer to travel at a slower pace, enjoy tropical warmth without the bustle, and tap into the relaxed rhythm that defines Darwin and its surrounds.

The sessions will explore the breadth of experiences available during this season, from Darwin’s vibrant city life – dining, markets and waterfront precincts to the nearby national parks and reserves, where lush landscapes and waterfalls are at their most striking.

Joining Tourism NT on the program are Courtyard by Marriott, one of Darwin’s latest hotel additions, and Cyaround Australia Tours, a local operator specialising in journeys through the Top End’s national parks. Together they will provide practical insights on where to stay, what to see and do, and how to build compelling low-season itineraries that deliver strong value and high satisfaction for clients.

The Northern Territory Trade Training Program continues to deliver regular product updates and destination training to help agents and industry partners better sell the NT across all seasons.

Agents must be registered with the Trade Training Program to be eligible for the live webinar series. Tourism NT is encouraging trade partners to secure their place and use the training to uncover new opportunities in a season that still flies under the radar for many Australian and New Zealand travellers.
