The World Ski Awards has revealed the winners of its 13th annual programme, with leading resorts, hotels, chalets and operators from across the globe recognised for setting the benchmark in ski tourism.
Val Thorens, Europe’s highest ski resort, has been named ‘World’s Best Ski Resort’, praised for its combination of modern lift infrastructure, comprehensive resort facilities and high-quality slopeside accommodation. In the accommodation categories, Stein Eriksen Lodge Deer Valley in Utah secured the title of ‘World’s Best Ski Hotel’, while Chalet Zermatt Peak was voted ‘World’s Best Ski Chalet’. Over in Les Trois Vallées, Hôtel Le Pashmina took home ‘World’s Best Ski Boutique Hotel’ thanks to its ski-to-door convenience and refined facilities.
New openings also featured prominently. Japan’s Nikko Style Niseko HANAZONO, the first lifestyle hotel from the historic Okura Nikko Hotel Group, was named ‘World’s Best New Ski Hotel’, beating strong contenders from Val-d’Isère and the Austrian Tyrol. Cabane Tortin, an off-grid hideaway perched above Verbier, was voted ‘World’s Best New Ski Chalet’. The 2025 results follow a year-long global search for the top performers in ski travel, tourism and hospitality. Votes were cast by both ski industry professionals and ski consumers, with the highest-polling nominee in each category taking the win.

Switzerland’s LAAX was named ‘World’s Best Freestyle Resort’ for its extensive freeride and freestyle terrain, while Ski Dubai retained its position as ‘World’s Best Indoor Ski Resort’. On the trade side, Leo Trippi was voted ‘World’s Best Ski Travel Agent’, Sunweb collected ‘World’s Best Ski Tour Operator’, and SkyExpress took the title of ‘World’s Best Ski Transfer Operator’.
Sustainability and specialist product were also recognised. LAAX’s rocksresort won ‘World’s Best Green Ski Hotel’, Northern Escape Heli-Skiing in Canada was named ‘World’s Best Heli-Ski Operator’, Compagnie des Alpes received ‘World’s Best Ski Resort Group’, and Bergbahn AG Kitzbühel was awarded ‘World’s Best Ski Resort Company’.
