Hilton has officially announced plans to bring it’s brand to Palm Cove, Queensland, with the signing of the Hilton Palm Cove Cairns Resort & Spa.
This project marks Hilton’s first venture into the popular seaside destination, further expanding the brand’s presence in Far North Queensland. The resort will be operated under a management agreement with Tyche Asset Management.
Located in the heart of Palm Cove, just 25 minutes from Cairns and 40 minutes south of Port Douglas, the 140-room property is set to open in early 2026 following a full refurbishment. The resort will offer a range of modern amenities, including an outdoor pool, two dining outlets, a pool bar, a kids’ club, a fitness center, a spa, and 450 sqm of function and meeting space, making it an ideal choice for both leisure and business travellers.
Speaking on the announcement, Tushar Raniga, Regional Director of Development for Australasia at Hilton, highlighted the significance of this new addition. “This signing underscores our strategy of positioning the right brands in the right locations. Palm Cove, with its growing tourism sector and vibrant local economy, presents a significant market opportunity. We believe Hilton Palm Cove Cairns Resort & Spa will become a standout resort, attracting both domestic and international travelers to this beautiful region,” Raniga said.
The new Hilton property will join the nearby Hilton Cairns and DoubleTree by Hilton Cairns, strengthening the brand’s footprint in the region. The addition of Hilton Palm Cove Cairns Resort & Spa also reflects Hilton’s broader growth strategy across Australasia, with Paul Hutton, Area Vice President for APAC and Head of Australasia at Hilton, noting that this marks the company’s fourth hotel signing in the region this year.
Diana Ren, owner of Hotel & Tyche Investments, expressed her enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We are thrilled to collaborate with Hilton to launch Hilton Palm Cove Cairns Resort & Spa. Hilton’s renowned reputation and expertise will undoubtedly elevate Palm Cove’s national and international recognition, which will benefit the local economy.”
