Emirates updates First Class offering

Emirates introduced a series of incremental upgrades across its premium product, which remains centred on privacy, personal space, and high levels of onboard service.

The airline operates over 26,800 First Class seats weekly, all of which are enclosed suites, across both its Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 fleets.

Cabin Design and Privacy

Onboard the Airbus A380, Emirates offers 14 fully enclosed suites arranged in a 1-2-1 configuration. The suites convert into lie-flat beds and feature sliding doors for full privacy, along with workspaces and dining tables. The Boeing 777 ‘Game Changer’ aircraft feature six suites in a 1-1-1 layout, each with floor-to-ceiling sliding doors, temperature and lighting controls, and a ‘zero-gravity’ seat setting. Middle suites on this aircraft have virtual windows, and window suites include binoculars for in-flight viewing.

In-Flight Service

Recent service enhancements include engraved caviar bowls, keepsake menus that detail wine pairings, a revised cheeseboard with new presentation elements, and gloved service by cabin crew. Emirates continues to offer dine-on-demand across First Class cabins with an expanded choice of snacks and full-course meals, including vegan options and signature items such as caviar with traditional accompaniments.

Amenity Kits and Sleepwear

Passengers receive amenities from luxury brands such as Bulgari and Byredo, including skincare products, fragrances, and overnight kits. Pyjamas featuring moisturising fabric technology and additional comfort items are also provided, depending on the route and aircraft.

Wine and Beverage Programme

Emirates maintains one of the industry’s most extensive onboard wine cellars. Wines include vintage Burgundy and Bordeaux, Dom Pérignon champagne, and vintage Port. The airline also offers single malts, cognac, and an array of international spirits. Coffee and tea selections include Lavazza and Dilmah.

Wellness and Comfort

First Class passengers onboard the A380 have access to two dedicated Shower Spas. Each is equipped with VOYA organic bath products, a vanity unit, hairdryer, heated floors and a changing area. A380 passengers can also visit the Onboard Lounge, shared with Business Class, which offers a selection of drinks and snacks in a social setting.

Entertainment and Technology

The suite is equipped with a 32-inch HD screen linked to Emirates’ ‘ice’ entertainment system, offering over 6,500 channels. Noise-cancelling headphones by Bowers & Wilkins are standard, and seat controls are managed electronically. A video call service is available in select Boeing 777 suites for meal requests.

Ground Experience

In Dubai, the First Class check-in area at Terminal 3 is undergoing a refurbishment. It is set to reopen as a lounge-style space offering personalised services. Chauffeur drive and access to over 40 partner lounges globally are also included for First Class travellers.

Baggage Allowance

Passengers are entitled to a 50kg checked baggage allowance and spacious cabin stowage for carry-on items, including wardrobes and shoe compartments within each suite.
