Explora Journeys has signed a letter of intent with Dutch shipbuilder Den Breejen Shipyard for the construction of its first river ships, confirming the luxury ocean cruise brand’s planned entry into river cruising.
The agreement would take Explora Journeys beyond ocean cruising for the first time. The brand says it intends to operate on European rivers and to carry over the product approach used on its ocean ships, which pairs cruising with European hospitality and design.
Sales are planned to open in 2027.
