Celebrity Cruises has revealed the first look at its forthcoming European river ships, Celebrity Compass and Celebrity Seeker, set to sail the Rhine and Danube from 2027.
Blending the iconic design language of Celebrity’s Edge Series with European charm, both vessels feature a patent-pending, industry-leading layout that delivers more space to holiday and a smoother, more relaxing river experience. “Celebrity River Cruises ships will be the most innovative on the river, bringing guests closer to destinations with more personal space,” said Laura Hodges Bethge, President, Celebrity Cruises. “With about half of our guests having experienced, or intending to take, a river cruise, we know they’ll love exploring Europe The Celebrity Way.”
Open-air decks that reframe the river
Revolutionary open decks provide the most usable outdoor space on any river ship and remain accessible throughout the journey, offering uninterrupted 360-degree views. Guests can dine above the water on the Magic Edge, the first-ever cantilevered dining pods on a river vessel while a top-deck bar and grill, transformative shade structures, adaptable furnishings and an infinity-edge plunge pool create zones for socialising or quiet retreat, year-round.

Elegantly spacious accommodation
Five boutique stateroom categories feature intuitive storage, enhanced layouts and king-sized beds in every stateroom, with generous balconies and abundant natural light. Thoughtful touches include complimentary stocked mini-bars, destination-inspired amenities, luxury linens, bathrobes and slippers. Suite guests enjoy an on-demand butler via Butler Chat, exclusive dining, room service and happy-hour experiences, complimentary laundry once per sailing, and priority shore-excursion booking.

Celebrity’s signature Infinite Veranda brings the outside in at the touch of a button. New Skylight Infinite Balcony Suites add a separate living area and a ceiling window for exceptional daylight. Vista Balcony Suites and Balcony Staterooms maximise usable outdoor space, while Infinite Balcony and River View options provide serene, light-filled retreats.
More flavours to savour
Across eight restaurants and bars including favourites Martini Bar, Sunset Bar and Café Al Bacio destination-driven menus evolve with each itinerary, from locally baked morning pastries to regionally inspired dinners. Guests benefit from flexible, all-day dining, complimentary breakfast room service and the only 24/7 meal options on the river.

Europe, intensely
Thirty-three seven-night itineraries on the Rhine and Danube will combine multiple ports per day with overnight stays for deeper immersion, think private wine tastings in Austria, Budapest’s thermal baths by day and skyline by night, cycling along the Danube, and sailing the Wachau Valley. Pre- and post-cruise stays, bookable from early 2026 extend time in iconic cities such as Prague and Budapest.
Quietly advanced by design
An innovative hull enables lighter, more versatile navigation for an uninterrupted holiday. Best-in-class hybrid propulsion, advanced waste-management systems, and technology to reduce noise and vibration further Royal Caribbean Group’s long-standing sustainability commitments.
