IHG Hotels & Resorts has officially opened Regent Bali Canggu, marking the debut of the Regent brand in Indonesia and adding a new ultra-luxury option on Bali’s southwest coast.
Set between the Indian Ocean and terraced rice fields, the oceanside resort is positioned as a “sanctuary of serenity and stimulation” in the heart of Canggu. Regent Bali Canggu forms part of IHG’s reimagining of the Regent brand, with a focus on elevating modern luxury and encouraging guests to “rise beyond distractions”. The resort introduces the world’s first Regent Spa, alongside six distinctive dining venues, two of which are led by award-winning chef Andrew Walsh. In total, the property offers 150 oceanside rooms, suites and villas, many with direct lagoon access and either sea or garden views.
General Manager Manish Puri said the opening brings an iconic luxury flag to Bali and highlighted how the property draws on its setting and local character: “Our way of life at Regent Bali Canggu is inspired by the spirited energy of surf culture and the calming effect of our coastline.”
Design, accommodation and “Personal Havens”

Designed by WATG Architects with interiors by Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA) and landscaping by John Pettigrew, Regent Bali Canggu takes cues from surrounding villages and rice paddies, using stone, teak, marble and celadon tones to echo sea and sky. Intricate latticework and natural light are used to balance openness with privacy. Among the 150 keys, a 618 sqm Penthouse offers a 30 sqm private beachfront infinity pool overlooking the ocean, while two-bedroom suites provide generous living areas suited to multi-generational families or small groups. A Regent design signature, “Personal Havens” feature throughout from Oasis bathrooms to lobby and terrace spaces and can be tailored via tech-enabled controls spanning food and drink preferences through to scent and sound. Poolside cabanas with all-inclusive menus and beachside binoculars extend the concept outdoors, while customisable bathing rituals in rooms are designed to help guests recharge, recover or enhance sleep.
Elevated service and in-room inclusions

Each guest is assigned a Regent Experience Agent, acting as a single point of contact to coordinate stays from check-in and reservations to bespoke touches such as arranging Rip Curl–certified surf lessons filmed by drone or helicopter arrivals. Under the “Regent With Compliments” concept, the resort removes a range of minor charges to simplify the guest experience, including a “no sand in your luggage” promise backed by complimentary shoe cleaning. Every room includes a daily-replenished Refreshment Gallery with local teas, house-infused spirits, cocktails crafted with Nusa Caña Rum and East Indies Gin, Balinese artisan chocolates and tempeh chips.
First Regent Spa & Wellness concept

Regent Bali Canggu debuts the first Regent Spa, developed with IHG’s in-house Spa & Wellness consultants Raison d’Etre and slated to roll out to Regent Jeddah Corniche and Regent Kuala Lumpur in future. The spa programme follows a structured “transformative path”, incorporating crystal energy, aromatherapy and light therapy to support rest and wellbeing. The spa offers seven treatment rooms (including one for couples), with Balinese-inspired scrubs, wraps and massages alongside contemporary skincare. A highlight treatment, The Massage Revolution, is delivered on a warm quartz sand bed, combining deep pressure techniques with neroli essence. The wellness offering is rounded out by hydro-therapy facilities including a vitality pool, ice baths and saunas, plus a 24/7 Health Club with spaces for yoga, stretching and gym workouts.
Culinary line-up by Chef Andrew Walsh
Six dining venues take guests through Balinese, Asian and international flavours. Two signature outlets – Sazón and Cure Bali are led by Irish-born, award-winning chef Andrew Walsh. Sazón, located along Batu Bolong, is a Mediterranean-inspired neighbourhood restaurant built around convivial, share-style dishes, from citrus-cured seafood and fire-roasted vegetables to slow-cooked meats and flatbreads. Cure Bali, opening in early 2026, draws inspiration from Walsh’s Michelin-starred Singapore flagship, blending Asian influences with seasonal Indonesian produce. Supporting venues include Taru, which showcases Indonesian dishes as well as a Beach House, Pool Bar and Lounge.
