Luxury French cruise operator Ponant has announced the addition of a second sailing catamaran, La Désirade, to its exclusive Spirit of Ponant programme, expanding the brand’s footprint across the Mediterranean and the Caribbean for the 2025/26 season.
Following the successful debut of its first catamaran in Corsica and the Seychelles in 2024, PONANT is extending its ultra-bespoke small-ship offering with immersive 7- or 14-day voyages. La Désirade, a Lagoon SEVENTY 7 vessel, features four luxurious staterooms for up to nine guests, a private onboard chef, and a dedicated four-member crew including a captain, first mate, chef, and hostess.

From now until October 2025, La Désirade will sail from Bonifacio, exploring Southern Corsica and Sardinia, before repositioning to the Caribbean from December 2025 to April 2026. The itineraries are flexible and curated daily by the captain and crew based on guest preferences and weather conditions.
The all-inclusive experience includes tailor-made menus using fresh local produce, water-based activities such as snorkelling, stand-up paddleboarding, wing foiling, and Sublue underwater scootering, as well as the option for private charters.
Ideal for high-end clients seeking privacy, flexibility, and authentic cultural immersion, the Spirit of Ponant is designed for a new breed of small-group explorers.
