3–9 June 2025 | Top End, Northern Territory
Tourism NT’s domestic trade team is thrilled to announce its first-ever Aboriginal Tourism Product Awareness Program (ATPAP) incentive famil, taking place from 3 – 9 June 2025 in the Northern Territory’s spectacular Top End. Launched in July 2024, ATPAP is a dedicated training initiative designed to spotlight Aboriginal-owned tourism products and connect the Australian and New Zealand travel trade with the people and stories behind them. The program included four engaging webinars, each highlighting a range of Aboriginal tourism businesses. Agents who completed all sessions and follow-up questionnaires were entered into a draw to win a spot on this exclusive famil.

Seven high-performing ATPAP members (three from New Zealand and four from Australia) have now been confirmed for the famil, which showcases some of the Top End’s most iconic Aboriginal experiences. Highlights include a Darwin Harbour sunset cruise with Sea Darwin, a day in Litchfield National Park with Northern Territory Indigenous Tours, and a journey through Kakadu National Park with stays at Mercure Kakadu Crocodile Hotel and Cooinda Lodge.

The group will explore ancient rock art at Ubirr and Burrungkuy and travel into West Arnhem Land to climb Injalak Hill. A Yellow Water Cruise will offer insights into the natural and cultural significance of the wetlands, before a scenic flight with Kakadu Air takes the group into remote Arnhem Land for a night at Davidson’s Arnhemland Safaris at Mt Borradaile, home to sacred sites, extraordinary rock art, and pristine wilderness. The famil wraps up with a final night at Mercure Darwin Airport Resort.

This unforgettable journey brings ATPAP’s purpose to life: to build stronger connections between trade and Traditional Owners while deepening awareness of Aboriginal tourism experiences in the NT.
