Trade encouraged to inspire their clients visit Northern Territory in all seasons

Tourism NT trade mission outlines the significance of planning multiple visits to the Northern Territory from New Zealand.

Last week’s Northern Territory’s trade mission to Auckland and Christchurch led my trade marketing manager Melanie Much centred around the importance of selling NT in any season.

Melanie said that the vastness of the region and the abundance of natural wonders, wildlife, adventures and two UNESCO listed parks meant that its a destination for multiple visits. She said the numbers from New Zealand to Australia were solid and this is a perfect opportunity to experience ‘the real Australia.

It was also outlined that the wet season has its own charms in visiting during the wet season wouldn’t be a disappointment as there are less tourists around better rates are on offer. Waterfalls come to life during this season and its unique to spot these as the views are incredible.

There are also unique events in the NT like the festival of lights called the Parrtjima, which is a free 10-night festival in the stunning Red Centre, with an incredible program featuring light installations, music and talks. The 2024 theme of the show is ‘Interconnectedness’, curated by Parrtjima Curator Rhoda Roberts AO.
