Visit Sunshine Coast New Zealand Expo 2024, new products and immersive experiences for the trade to sell

Kicking off the roadshow in Auckland, Trade and International Manager, Emily Zinowki said, it’s great to be back in 2024. “New Zealand is our number one market and is a priority. We want to work with the travel trade even more in 2024.” said Emily. With Air New Zealand’s direct service to the Sunshine Coast from June to October, it adds an extra 3-4 hours to a trip to the Sunshine Coast.

May to August was a great time to visit the warmer shores of the Sunshine Coast but the trade can also try and push for travel in winter months with warmer weather on the coast. With 44 beaches and 11 volcanic peaks, boutique properties and a big cafe culture there is an abundance of packages that can be created and the team at Visit Sunshine Coast is always willing to help.

The main draw to the Coast has always been the seafood, food markets, the fresh food bistros and cafe culture like the famous Mooloolaba prawns. Agro Tourism is a new venture being promoted at the Coast that allows travellers to immerse themselves in the plethora of fresh produce from 900 fresh producers on the coast. With farm to table experiences, travellers have an opportunity to educate themselves about the produce and its uniqueness while savouring it on the table with dishes crafted by top chefs.

Curated Plate, the boutique food and drink festival of the Sunshine Coast in beautiful Queensland, Australia is back July 26 – August 4 which promises a delicious 10-day celebration of the Sunshine Coast’s local producers, restaurants, experiences, chefs, and unique natural assets from the sea to the hinterland.

The trade support team is always on hand for the travel trade to assist in itineraries and information. The trade should look out for the Visit Sunshine Coast trade newsletter where more support options are listed. Incentives available for agents are trade rates, free admission to attractions and there may be opportunities in 2024 for agents.

Fiona Reid won the grand prize for a action packed trip to the Sunshine Coast.
